Directions to Avenue Road School from the M1

Leave the M1 at junction 21 and take the A5460 towards Leicester. Get into the left hand lane.

After ¼ mile, exit left (signed to the A563) under a road bridge and continue turning left to go over the same road bridge on the A563 Outer Ring to Leicester South & East.

Continue on the A563 for 3½ miles.

Turn left onto the A5199 (formerly the A50) towards City Centre (right would take you to Market Harborough).

After 1 mile turn right onto Avenue Road Extension, reached just before the breast of a slight hill, soon after passing a Total Petrol Station on the left. Avenue Road Extension is an insignificant, one-way, residential road with cars parked on both sides.

The school is on the left, reached after crossing another road. Parking is usually available on either side of Avenue Road Extension. Cut through on foot to the school entrance in Bulwer Road, or continue to drive past the school and turn left and left again into Bulwer Road, where parking may be available in Bulwer Road or in front of the school.
